Thames Valley Berkshire LEP
Frances is the Enterprise Manager for the Local Enterprise Partnerships in-charge of the Enterprise, Innovation & Business Growth Programme to support the implementation of the LEP’s Strategic Economic Plan and Local Industrial Strategy for Thames Valley Berkshire.
Chris Dodson is a mechanical engineer with nearly 40 years in commercial technology development for industry, particularly in heavy energy consuming and renewable energy related industries.
Today, hundreds of industrial plants employ his inventions and techniques to carry out a wide variety of commercial processes. He has particular expertise in the construction, negotiation and management of licence and technology agreements internationally.
Through executive and non-executive positions in a range of companies from games software to robotics, Chris has also provided his real ‘hands on’ international business experience to those establishing and growing new businesses and technologies. He has worked extensively in Europe, North America, India, Australasia and South Africa.
Henley Business School
Jurek is Executive Director for Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship at Henley Business School (HBS) and Entrepreneur in Residence at London Business School (LBS), where he mentors start-up businesses on a range of topics including business idea development, business model creation, customer development, talent acquisition and management and senior management team development.
Jurek is also business adviser to several start-up businesses and non-executive chairman of several small companies.
Jurek launched several initiatives at HBS including the IDEAFEST Business Idea Competition, Business Idea Clinic and the Entrepreneurship Society and whilst at LBS Jurek designed and launched the Business Incubator Programme that supports start-up businesses transition to successful trading operations.
Adam Hale is a Reading-based Technology entrepreneur/adviser. He is Chairman of DevOpsGroup, a board member of Unit4 / Tech Nation and an angel/adviser to scale-ups including Open Blend (Maidenhead). Prior to ‘going plural’ Adam was CEO of Fairsail 2013-2017 when the Reading based SaaS business grew from £1m-£17m revenue and was acquired by Sage plc for £115m, 23x the value in October 2013. Adam is a frequent speaker on scale-ups, member of the Scale-up Group and the author of ‘Lobster Tales’ (see his LinkedIn & @Adahal). Outside Software he cycles with GS Henley.
